Superintendent/Foreman
Baratto Brothers Construction is a general contractor, custom home and commercial builder, that has been doing business in the Brainerd Lakes Area for over 15 years. As a Superintendent on the Baratto Brothers Construction Team, you will primarily oversee and coordinate construction site activities.
Superintendent Responsibilities
- Ensure company and customer satisfaction through professional appearance, expert workmanship, and polite communication
- Manage project labor needs (BBC Craft Labor & Subcontractors)
- Participate in and/or conduct site safety meetings, weekly owner meetings, and various site meetings as required
- Complete detailed and accurate daily site logs
- Support and participate with Project Managers on development and updates of construction schedule
- Coordinate with Shop Foreman and outside vendors to project equipment and safety needs
- Manage subcontractor scopes of work
- Maintain “Plan of Day” activities and “Two Week Look Ahead”
- Review and verify quantity takeoffs and materials management process during project buyout
- Cooperate with others in a team environment
- Work in conjunction with Project Manager to ensure efficient work flows and project progress
- Follow employer rules and procedures
- Punctual and consistent attendance
- Coordinate a safe and clean job site and support Safety Coordinator with site safety audits
Requirements
- Must be able work within precise limits or standards of accuracy
- Must be able to proficiently read plans and drawings
- Must be able to frequently sit, stand, walk, crouch, climb, kneel, and periodically lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to safely work from an elevated position of greater than 6ft.
- Must be able to safely operate power equipment such as: table saw, radial arm saw, belt and disc sanders, drill presses, fall protection, and other hand and power tools required to complete work
- Must maintain positive attitude and professional customer interaction
Education/Experience/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BA) in industry-relevant focus or equivalent 4+ years experience in construction supervision or management
- Current Driver’s License
- OSHA 10 certification preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and relevant Project Management Software

As a Carpenter on the Baratto Brothers Construction Team, you will primarily work alongside other carpenters under the direction and supervision of a Foreman or Superintendent in all phases of carpentry and general labor tasks in residential and commercial construction.
Carpenter Responsibilities
- Ensure company and customer satisfaction through professional appearance, expert workmanship, and polite communication
- Unloading, handling, stockpiling, and erecting of materials delivered to the jobsite
- Rough Framing without direct supervision
- Layout walls
- Build stairs
- Set and/or frame floor and roof trusses
- Parapet framing
- Properly install exterior siding, soffit, fascia without direct supervision
- Flashing installation
- Trim installation
- Finish Carpentry without direct supervision
- Set door frames, doors, and hardware
- Fabricate and install interior millwork
- Handrail fabrication and installation
- Cabinet setting
- Installation of miscellaneous hardware and accessories
- Cooperate with others in a team environment
- Accept and follow direction from supervisors
- Follow employer rules and procedures
- Punctual and consistent attendance
- Maintain safe and clean work environment and work trailer
Requirements
- Must be able work within precise limits or standards of accuracy
